Abstract

450,193. Filtering - media. JENAER GLASWERK SCHOTT & GEN., Otto-Schott- Strasse, Jena, Germany. April 29, 1935, No. 12721. Convention date, May 9, 1934. [Class 46] A filtering - material consists of superposed layers of fine and coarse glass particles, the coarse lower layer a<1> being fritted, and the upper layer a<2> being made by mixing fine glass particles into a paste with a liquid such as a viscous cellulose solution or a mixture of water and glycerine, or oil and turpentine, and baking the paste. The two layers are fused to form a single body which may be fused into a non- porous funnel b.
