[Class 13] [See also Group XI] A sound reflector is formed by rotating a parabolic curve 1, 1a about an axis Y Y which passes through the focus F and forms an angle (e.g. 45‹) with the axis x x of the parabola, the portions surrounding the focus being cut away to form parts A, B, Fig. 4, which are used together . or separately. Fig. 4 also shows the use in combination of two such sets of parts A, B of different dimensions. In a modification, a pair of relatively inclined parabolic curves are translated along a common focal line to form a troughshaped reflector.
