448,166. Hinges for closet seats &c. CHURCH MFG. CO., C. F., Montgomery Street, Chicopee, Massachusetts, U.S.A.- (Assignees of Campbell, V. W.; 15, Hall Avenue, Nashua, New Hampshire, U.S.A.) Aug. 27, 1935, No. 23941. Convention date, June 10. [Class 65 (ii)] In a hinge construction for mounting a seat 24 or cover 33 or both or a closet bowl 11, in which hinge posts 14, 15 extend ing. upwardly from the bowl support a pintle 23 on which the hinges are mounted, each hinge member 27, 36 consists of a flat strip secured to the rear edge 25, 34, of the seat or cover and two ears 30, 31 or 39, 40 at right angles to the ends of the strip, the cars having bearing apertures for the pintle. The ears may be curved so that the outer contours are substantially that of a quarter circle, and the ears of the cover may be turned downwards, those of the seat upwards. The posts 14, 15 may be adjustably secured to the bowl by the means described in Specification 447,101.
