[Class 125 (iii)] A crown-cork stopper comprises the usual metal cap 7 which receives a cork disc 3 provided with a seal or covering of metal foil 4. The covering is secured to the cap without adhesive by forming a circular slit or groove 1 in the inner face 2 of the cork disc, (see Fig, 1), opening the slit by bending the peripheral portion 6 of the cork disc backwards, (see Fig. 2), inserting the rim 5 of the metal disc 4 into the slit and closing the peripheral portion 6 inwards to grip the rim 5 firmly.
