Abstract
447,640. Electrolytic condensers. PLESSEY CO., Ltd., Vicarage Lane, Ilford, Essex. July 4, 1935, No. 19168. Convention date, Nov. 15, 1934. [Class 37] A spacer for the electrodes 13, 14 of an electrolytic condenser consists of laminations 15, 16 of a soft absorbent material, for example blotting paper, and of non-fibrous cellulose, for example regenerated cellulose, respectively. The two laminations may be secured together by adhesive or by embossing together and are then impregnated with electrolyte. In winding the cellulose side of the spacer is in contact with the filmed side of the electrode. The electrolyte may be as described in Specification 388,395 with the addition of an inert filler such as diatomaceous earth or cellular silica. U.S.A. Specification 1,981,352 is referred to.
