447,311. Draw - gear for vehicles. PANCOTT, A. J., and JARMAIN, Ltd., T. M., Haseley Iron Works, Great Haseley, Oxford. Sept. 10, 1935, No. 25172. [Class 103 (v)] A haysweep to be pushed by a tractor or other motor vehicle, is provided with eyes or loops 4 for loose engagement with deep slots 3 in the ends of brackets 2 carried in front of the vehicle. In the form shown in Fig. 1, the brackets 2 are riveted to the ends of a pair of channel bars 1 braced by one or more cross stays 12 and secured to the front axle 5 by bolts 6, 7 and plates 8, a number of bolt-holes being provided for adaptation to different axles. In Figs. 3 and 4, the brackets are carried by a U-shaped metal frame 13, twisted at 14 so that the real part may be flat for attachment to the axle 15 by bolts 16 and plates 17 and to diagonal stays 20 by U-bolts 21. The frame at the axle attachment 16 is reinforced by plates 19 and is spaced from the stays 20 by packing plates 23. The bottoms of the slots 3 may be of enlarged circular form to allow ample play of the loops 4 therein.
