Aug. 9, 1935, No. 22574. Drawings to Specification. [Class 140] Air-permeable, heat-insulating sheet material comprises a fabric on one or both sides of which is cemented metal foil of low heattransmitting power, the foils, and if desired, the fabric faced therewith, being provided with perforations arranged irregularly or regularly, e.g. in the form of a trade mark. Aluminium foil, having a surface layer of oxide formed in the rolling process may be used, and may be protected by a further layer of lacquer or of oxide formed, e.g. by anodic treatment. The material may be incorporated in garments or protective covers for men and animals, e.g. head coverings, suits, overcoats, footwear, gloves, bedcovers, sleeping bags, motor hoods, horsecloths, beehives, &c.
