[Class 80 (i)] A belt-pulley or wheel comprises a spider formed of pairs of flat metal bars 1 ... 4 arranged along chords of the rim 5 with the flat sides of one pair resting on the flat sides of another pair and rigidly and directly secured thereto, as bv welding. The hub 6 may comprise one or two rings welded to the bars. Alternatively, the bars may be recessed to fit the shaft and directly united thereto. Specifications 406 /96, [Class 144], and 122,320, [Class 144 (i)], are referred to.
