[Class 64 (ii)] [See also Groups X and XXVIII] The heating or cooling pipes B of a building are embedded in a reinforced-concrete floor, roof or the like and are maintained in position by hangers or stirrups A, Fig. 1, which combine with bearing members D for positioning the reinforcing members d<1> of the structure. In the case of a floor embodying hollow blocks E as shown in Fig. 1, the pipe B and the hangers A are first placed in position on the shuttering, a layer of concrete is then poured, and the reinforcing rods d<1> are laid on bearing members D placed on the pipe B. The hollow blocks E are then arranged in position and the remainder of the concrete is cast. The ends a<1> of the hangers A. are bent downwardly on to the blocks E. In a modification, the bearings D are provided with legs d<2> as shown in Fig. 3, which rest on the shuttering, and such bearings D serve to register the positions of the blocks E. The reinforcing rods d' may be supported by the bearings D in a position at right angles to the pipe B. A stirrup and bearing member may be constructed in one piece and formed either of wire as shown in Fig. 4, or sheet-metal as shown in Fig. 7, the rods d<1> in these constructions being disposed at right angles to the pipe B. The stirrup and bearing shown in Fig. 8 is bent from sheet-metal and is adapted to support the reinforcing rods in bent parts d<3> so that they lie parallel to the pipe B.
