Abstract
445,934. Road - marking studs. STURROCK, A. D., JACKSON, R. F., and RENNISON, F. A., 21, York Street, Manchester. Oct. 17, 1934, No. 29653. [Class 3 (ii)] Road-marking studs are formed with steps, the heads 12 and risers 13 of which slope outwardly and downwardly to reflect light. The studs may be of any desired shape in plan, and the crown or central portion may be of material different from that of the body portion. The shank or. spike 11 may be integral with the body or be secured thereto as shown in Fig. 3. The stud may be made of a yellow metal such as aluminium bronze, and the shank of stainless or rustless iron or steel to show the contrasting colours at the surface. In the modification shown in Fig. 5, the shanks are at the corners and may be integral with the body or attached thereto by being passed through openings; a glass or other reflector 14 is inset in the top. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 383,527 and 405,197.
