445,917. Wireless receiving-apparatus. HAZELTINE CORPORATION, 15, Exchange Place, Jersey City, New Jersey, U.S.A.-(Assignees of Johnson, J. K.; 723, Cummings Avenue, Kenilworth, Illinois, U.S.A.) July 16, 1935, No. 20254. Convention date, Nov. 15, 1934. [Class 40 (v)] A pair of circuits remote from each other are capacitively coupled by the inherent capacity between a pair of cable conductors supplemented by additional capacity directly included in at least one of the circuits and bridged across the cable conductors. The Figure shows an aerial circuit including a condenser C1 connected between cable 4 and earth. A further parallel capacity C1 is included in the tuned input circuit of the valve 10 the total capacity coupling this circuit to the aerial. A similar coupling is used between the output of the frequency changer 12 and the intermediate frequency amplifier 14. The invention enables the receiver to operate over a plurality of wavebands without switching at the remote point, the cable being electrically short in comparison with the wavelengths used.
