Abstract

445,508. Churning. VACU CHURNS, Ltd., 7, Shortland Street, and McCORKINDALE, W. H., 49, Phoenix Chambers, Queen Street, both in Auckland, New Zealand. July 23, 1935, No. 20942. [Class 86] A butter churn comprises a rotating churn body enclosed in an airtight casing connected with an air exhauster, openings being provided in an end wall of the churn fitted with closures whereby churning may be effected under vacuum conditions. The drum may be fitted with a removable door which, as shown, may be provided with ports F covered by a plate K carried on a spring-influenced stem J operable from the outside of the casing A.
