[Class 65 (ii)] [See also Group X] In a door, panel or the like opening to 180‹, the hinged edge of the moving member or the adjacent frame part is provided with a bead having a continuous surface which is part of a cylindrical surface extending over at least 180‹ and substantially concentric with the hinges, the bead having a diameter greater than the thickness of the moving member and completely covering the edge thereof, so that in any position the movable part and the frame are in close proximity to the surface of the bead, so that no gap is left in which fingers may be trapped. Fig. 1 shows one form, in which a solid bead 2 is fixed to the door 1 ; the bead is shown slightly eccentric in relation to the hinging axis, giving a better fit between the bead and frame 4 in the closed position. A number of modifications are illustrated. Fig. 22 shows one arrangement of pivots on which the door may be mounted. The bead 2 is divided into two parts, having fixed to them pins 11, 12 which bear in members 22 supported in shallow cups 18 fixed to the frame by flanges 19. The cups are slotted at 18<a> to allow the pins to be slid in, and the members 22 are similarly slotted and are turned, after assembly, to bring their slots out of correspondence with the slots 18<a> so that the pins cannot be removed, the members 22 being held in their final positions in the cups 18 by radial screws.
