[Class 100 (i)] [See also Group XVII] A device, for positioning wrappers in wrapping machines is arranged so that the wrapper may be turned adjustably about a point away from the centre of the wrapper, and the rotary member may serve for conveying the wrapper to the wrapping station. The wrapper is gripped by tongs, comprising parts 5, 6, both rotatable about an axis 2 by means of a drawbar 7. The upper part 6 is also rotatable about an axis 10 by means of a lever 9 pivoted at 8 and carrying a guide 12 engaging a cam-roll 11 on the part 6. After gripping the wrapper, it is rotated about the axis 2, spaced from the centre 13, and moved by the tongs to the wrapping station. In a modification, the axis 2 may be outside the boundary 3 of the wrapper, and the upper part 6 may carry the guide 12.
