437,965. Wall-ties. PARKER, W. J., Sunny Croft, Pentwyn Avenue, Blackwood, Monmouthshire. May 11, 1934, No. 14264. [Class 20 (iv)] A tie for cavity walls comprises a straight central portion with bent ends set in parallel planes, the ends of the tie being adapted to key into the bonding of the walls, with the interconnecting portion sloping upwardly to prevent moisture from passing from one wall to the other and also to prevent mortar &c. from lodging on the tie. The ends 1, 2 are flattened and either or both of the ends may be bifurcated. The straight central portion 6 may be of round or rectangular section, a longitudinal edge being uppermost in the latter case so that mortar &c. cannot lodge on the tie. The ends are bent about lines disposed at right angles to the axis of the intermediate portion, so that the axes of the ends and of the intermediate portion lie in a single vertical plane.
