Abstract

437,319. Sifting-apparatus. BURGESS, R. H. G., 15, Windsor Terrace, King's Lynn, Norfolk. Aug. 24, 1934, No. 23916. [Class 117] A support for riddles, which permits oscillation and vibration in all directions, comprises a stand C and a central vertical spring B supporting a riddle or a frame A for carrying the riddle. The stand has tines D for insertion into the ground, and a disc E to prevent sinking in soft earth. Vertical adjustment of the stand is provided by the nut C<1>. The frame A has arms with cranked ends for positioning the riddle, or a number of superposed riddles, which may be provided with spouts for discharging the oversize products. To allow the riddles to be super-imposed on one another, brackets F<2>, F<3>, Fig. 4, may be provided on the inside and outside of the upper edge of the lower riddles to hold the superposed riddles in position.
