Abstract

436,465. Colour photography. OPTICOLOR AKT.-GES., Glarus, Switzerland. April 30, 1934, No. 13009. Convention date, July 20, 1933. Addition to 421,084 and 435,859. [Class 98 (ii)] In apparatus described in Specification 435,859, for reproducing lenticular films, more particularly colour - record films by optical projection-printing, diaphragms or screens are arranged in the vicinity of the path of the rays to intercept unwanted light scattered from moving or stationary reflecting surfaces, and the size of the moving mirrors is reduced to a minimum. In the arrangement shown in the Figure, and described in Specification 435,859, a flat screen 9 is placed between the oscillating mirror systems 4, 5, a tubular screen 10 is fitted on each side of the objective 3, and the inner mirrors of the systems 4, 5 are made shorter than the outer mirrors. The original film 1 is illuminated by a lamp 11 through a glass block 12 having a lens surface on each end. Similar devices are described in connection with the arrangement in which the two mirror systems are on opposite sides of the plane containing the films.
