436,271. Glass manufacture. UNITED GLASS BOTTLE MANUFACTURERS, Ltd., and MOORSHEAD, T. C., 40, Norfolk Street, Strand, London. Feb. 12, 1935, No. 4559. [Class 56] A device for circulating the molten glass in a forehearth or gathering-basin 2 of a furnace, used in conjunction with a suction-fed forming machine, comprises a vertical rotating member 3 which has its lower end immersed in the glass and is reciprocated vertically in addition to being rotated. The member 3 is preferably made hollow, and its outer surface may be smooth, fluted, or provided with projections.
