Abstract
436,146. Hydraulic accumulators; valves. SERCK RADIATORS, Ltd., and SERCK, O.,Warwick Road, Greet, Birmingham. March 7, 1934, No. 7244. [Classes 69 (ii) and 135] In an air-loaded hydraulic accumulator having a common entry and exit b, Fig. 1, for liquid, loss of compressed air is prevented by determining the lowest level of liquid by a valve v, Fig. 2, having a guided stem r carrying a float in the form of an inverted metal cup t. A pump byepass valve e is actuated by a lever h acted on by a weight i and an electromagnet j, the circuit of the latter being controlled by a hand switch k and a contact in a pressure gauge l. The gauge l may be graduated in terms of liquid level, and may have an adjustable scale or finger ; a safety valve n is provided.
