Abstract

435,164. Strainers. WARD, F., 83, Bexley Road, Erith, Kent. March 12, 1935, No. 7619. [Class 46] [See also Group II] A sieve or strainer is constructed so that a perforated plate or sieve bottom can be inserted at the top or bottom of the frame to provide either a deep or shallow sieve. Fig. 1 shows a sieve in which the frame A is provided with a seating B to support the sieve bottom C which is sprung into position in an annular recess F<1> above the seating B. To form a shallow sieve the frame A is inverted and the sieve bottom is sprung into a recess F<2>. The frame is strengthened by stays L and beadings M. Specifications 11447/07, 23007/12, and 313,827, [all in Class 117], are referred to.
