Abstract

407,221. Chairs. LORENZ, A., 47, Tel towerstrasse, Berlin. May 30, 1933, No. 15567. [Class 52 (ii).] Chairs are made with a lower frame consisting of resilient rod or tube, and an upper frame of cheaper material such as wood, cane, or aluminium, which may be non-resilient, the two frames being connected by joining members. The seat may be secured to the joining members or to one of the frames. The lower frame a, Figs. 1 and 3, may for instance be connected to the upper frame b by socketted sleeves c, the seat being secured to the frame a, or to the member c. The seat d, Fig. 7, may be fastened to a joining member c, the tubes a and b forming the lower and upper frames respectively being secured to lugs on the member c. Figs. 9 and 11 show alternative forms of joining member.
