[Class 5 (i)] [See also Groups XXVIII] A sealed joint between a pipe 2 and a floor or other partition 1 through which it passes comprises a member 3 secured to the wall and formed with an annular cup 5 containing a liquid or semi-liquid into which extends a ring 6 secured to the pipe. The ring may be secured to the floor and the cup, formed of two halves clamped together, to the pipe. The sealing material may be of a poisonous nature in order to trap bed-bugs, cockroaches, &c.
