[Class 132 (ii)] A golf-club caddy-bag has a rod or stiffening member connected at its upper end to the mouth or upper part of the bag or to a member attached thereto and capable of moving angularly about its upper end to separate the clubs. As shown in Figs. 1 and 5 the stiffener and club separator comprises one or more metal or wooden rods 4, each having a T-shaped metal terminal part 7 with a sleeve 8 embracing a metal bar 6 across the middle or towards one end of the oval or elliptical metal mouth frame 1 of the leather bag 3. The rods 4 are spaced on the bar 6 and urged apart by a spring or springs 9, the ends 9<a> of which are passed through holes in the rods 4, the ends of which rest freely on the bottom 5 of the bag. The bar 6, spring 9 and the upper ends of the rods 4 are covered by a piece of leather 10 folded across the middle, the sides and middle of the lower edge being secured by sewing to form flexible depending pockets for receiving the upper ends of the rods. One, two or more ribs 11, Fig. 7, may be provided on the upper face of the bottom 5 of the bag to restrict the movement of the ends of the rods 4. A plurality of bars 6 may be provided to carry the rods 4 or the rods may be carried by a spring arm or arms on a clip or holder surrounding the bar 6. In a modification, Fig. 8, the bar 6 is replaced by a folded leather partition 13 provided with apertures to receive the rods 4. In a further modification, Fig. 10, the bar 6 passes through holes in the rods 4 and a spring 9 and leather covering 10 are provided. In a further modification, Fig. 11, the rods 4 are made adjustable by a screw connection 17, 18. The rods 4 may be hingedly connected to the mouth frame 1, Fig. 12, instead of to the bar 6, and may be kept the required distance apart by the leather covering of the mouth frame.
