[Class 7 (iv)] Elements for facilitating ignition in Diesel engines consist of corrugated or helical sheets in which the ratio of surface area to mass is large. They may be metallic or non-metallic, and perforated or of grid formation. The main surfaces are parallel to the axis of the fuel injector and are roughened or coated. They may be made of chrome-, chrome-nickel-, or molybdenum steel. Specification 434,718 is referred to.
