Abstract

433,909. Archery bows. SEE FABRIKS AKTIEBOLAG, Sandviken, Sweden. Aug. 21, 1934, No. 24146. Convention date, Oct. 5, 1933. [Class 132 (iii)] The bow 1 is in two halves comprising steel tubing tapering towards the ends and of D - cross - section. The two pieces of tubing 1 are introduced into a handle consisting of a sleeve 8 to which is applied a cork layer 2, a sleeve 5 filling up the extra space within the sleeve 8. The tubing 1 is arranged so that the flattened side 1<a> is turned towards the target. A sleeve 3 is applied to the lower end of the sleeve 8 and is attached thereto and to the sleeve 5 and tubing 1 by a pin 4, and a sleeve 3<a> for supporting the arrow and longer than the sleeve 3 is applied to the upper end of the sleeve 8, the upper part of the tubing 1 being loosely introduced into the sleeve 8. Scores 6 are provided for the bow string. In the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 it is stated that the thickness of the material of the tube decreases towards the ends and that the tubing of the bow may be slightly curved forwards from the handle. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
