Abstract

A filter for the removal of aerosols &c. from the atmosphere is formed of an intimate mixture of fibres with an inert powder, e.g. wool and resin spun into a yarn and used as such or as a fabric woven wholly or partly therefrom. The mixture may be produced by twisting the fibre in a liquid suspension of resin and ebonite, or the materials may be bonded by slight fusion of one of them. Specifications 380,965, 395,918, and 433,186, [all in Group XXVIII], are referred to.
