[Class 132 (ii)] A golf-bag 1 is divided by a longitudinal partition 12, 12<a>, into a part 2 for housing the clubs and a part 3 which is subdivided into at least an upper and a lower pocket to house golfballs, shoes and other articles. As shown, a transverse partition 14 divides the part 3 into pockets 18, 19 provided with openings closed by sliding clasp fasteners 15. The top pocket 18 is provided, however, with a hinged flap 16 and the fastener 15 of this pocket may be dispensed with so that removal of the hood, (not shown), is necessary to obtain access to this pocket. The clubs are separated by straps 13 secured across the mouth ring 8, and a corrugated strip 13<a> may be provided detachably to grip the shafts of the clubs adjacent the partition 12, the flap 16 being correspondingly notched at 16<a>. The straps 13 may be replaced by an apertured spacing board extending across the mouth of the bag, or spring clips may be fitted at the bag mouth each adapted to receive the shaft of one club. The bag may be circular, elliptical or rectangular in shape and the part 3 is of such dimensions that when the bag lies on the ground with the handle 10 and sling 11 uppermost the club-heads do not touch the ground. According to the first Provisional Specification each of the pockets such as 18, 19 may have a closure flap, and according to the second Provisional Specification the compartment 3 need not be subdivided.
