DES CONFITURERIES ET CONFISERIES D'ORSAY ET RAYON D'OR REUNIES COROSA, 26, Rue Gustave Schildknecht, Brussels. Oct. 26, 1934, No. 30765. Convention date, Dec. 21, 1933. [Class 18] Relates to apparatus for making cardboard or like pots or containers having a folded - over upper edge 4, a groove 5 for receiving a cover, and a bottom 1 set into the lower edge 6 of the wall of the container. The apparatus comprises a matrix with a tapered or cylindrical recess 22, an annular groove 26 in the closed end of the recess, and a second groove 27 near the free edge of the recess for forming the groove 5 in the container, and a die having a tapered or cylindrical wall upon which is maintained a ring 18 of elastic material which cooperates with the groove 27, and a groove 16 for forming the folded edge 4. The matrix is formed by two members 21, 23, one slidable within the other and spring urged towards the die. The die also comprises a member 13 slidable within an outer member 12 and spring controlled. The die member 13 is rotatable by means of a squared end piece 20.
