Abstract

Blasting-fuze cords are coated with a mixture of polymerized vinyl chloride and softening agents such as tricresyl phosphate, tributyl phosphate, or dibutyl phthalate; or with the product of the common polymerization of vinyl chloride and other vinyl compounds such as acrylic acid esters and vinyl acetate; or with a mixture of the last product and softening-agents; or with corresponding mixtures derived from after-chlorinated polyvinyl chloride.
