427,232. Shaft collars. VEREINIGTE STAHLWERKE AKT.-GES., 67, Breitestrasse, D³sseldorf, Germany. June 7, 1934, No. 16917. Convention date, July 18, 1933. [Class 80 (ii)] [See also Group XXXIV] In means for securing a railway wheel to its axle by means of a collar engaging a groove near the end of the axle, the collar is formed in two parts 1, 2 which are locked, after assemblage, by a spring-ring 4 engaging registering grooves in the parts 1, 2. Fig. 1 shows a conical tool 5 over which the locking-ring 4 may be expanded for assemblage. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 describes also the use of set-screws for securing the parts 1, 2. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
