[Class 113 (i)] [See also Group XXI] A raft designed for surf riding comprises a rectangular body of airproof material which is either permanently inflated or is provided with an air valve 26 for inflation purposes. The body is divided into longitudinal compartments by complete or partial partitions 1, 3 the spacing of these partitions and the extent to which they are carried determining the shape and roundness of the sides and ends of the raft and hence its surfriding qualities. The top side of the float is provided with a zone 8 of roughened rubber to assist the user in maintaining his position on the float.
