[Class 37] A slider carrying a spring for making contact with resistance wire B wound on a former A, comprises a handle G secured to a box H, through holes in the side of which a guide bar C extends at the same time passing through the loop of a spring J, of the shape shown, which has previously been inserted in the box through a hole h in the bottom of the box. The pressure of the spring-ends on the wire causes the loop of the spring to bear on and grip the guide bar C.
