The receptacle is forced forwardly so as to expose the food therein when a fowl stands on a platform f carried by a bell-crank lever g connected by a link h with a lever i adapted to push the receptacle through a link k. A spring l or equivalent retracts the receptacle when the fowl leaves the platform.
