Abstract

424,978. Roulette apparatus. BARKER, J., Larchfield, Roundhay, Leeds. Sept. 8, 1933, No. 24965. [Class 132 (ii)] Roulette apparatus comprises a disc or wheel like rotary member and a driving rotary member pressed into direct frictional engagement therewith by a resilient device adapted to be wound by hand and released to effect rotation of the wheel like rotary member. As shown, a metal or other disc 5 is rotatably mounted in a frame 3 provided with a handle 2, and is frictionally engaged by a sphere or roller 6 threaded by a doubled rubber band 7 anchored to projections 8 on the frame 3. Rotation of the disc 5 through a knob 4 twists the rubber band, so that on release, the band drives the disc through the member 6. The disc has markings 9 on one or both sides, coacting with a notch or arrow mark 10 on one or both sides of the frame 3 to indicate a score. The disc 5 may have a rubber rim and the member 6 a rubber periphery.
