Kinematograph apparatus. - The film 10 approaching a take-up reel 6 is passed round a roller 11 so as to press the roller against the film on the reel and exert a braking action on the reel. The roller may be carried by an arm 12 pivoted at 13, and may have a roughened surface or a covering of rubber. The reel is driven by a friction disc 5<1>, Fig. 2, on a crank shaft 4 and is pressed into engagement with it by a spring 7. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 313,613.
