Abstract
424,013. Gauge glasses. DEWRANCE, SIR J., 165, Great Dover Street, Southwark, London. Sept. 11, 1933, No. 25128. [Class 123 (i)] A water - level indi. cator comprises glass plates d held in an elongated frame a by bolts k passing through cover plates each ir two parts f<1>, f<2>, each part having a cross section providing twc limbs one extending at each side of a bolt k so that one limb seats on the glass, while the other limb g seats with line contact in a recess h in the frame a. Packing is inserted between the glass and metal surfaces, and a ridge in the packing may engage a recess in the cover plate. A convex washer beneath the nut of the bolt k may engage a recess in the cover plate.
