420,795. Mowing-machines. SOC. ANON. BREVETTI BORGHINO, and BORGHINO, F., 8, Via Torino, Vigone, Torino, Italy. June 11, 1934, No. 17246. [Class 6 (iii)] A connecting-rod F of the type connected to the cutterbar E by two projecting arms 1, 2, provided with cup like extensions 11, 22, that embrace a ball 31 on a bracket 32 extending from the cutter bar, has the extension 22 hinged to its arm 2 and held firmly on the ball by a wedge 41 passing through a slot in a cotter pin 12 extending through the extensions, such wedge being carried by a lever 4 forced downwards by a coiled spring 5 on the pivot of the lever. A finger 42 extending from the lever facilitates the withdrawal of the wedge when it is desired to release the cutter bar. The other end of the rod may be secured to the crank pin by extensions, one of which is hinged, carrying curved members engaging a socket in a flattened extension of the crank pin bearing: the two extensions are pressed towards each other by a spring on a bolt passing through the extensions.
