Abstract

419,608. Pianofortes. MORLEY& CO., Ltd., R., and MORLEY, F. D., 123, High Street, Lewisham, London. May 18, 1933, No. 14403. [Class 88 (ii).] A three-piece upright pianoforte comprises a string-casing a, tapering symmetrically downwards and recessed to accommodate an L- shaped detachable casing b, containing the keyboard and action, and bolted both to the string-casing a and to a detachable leg-frame c. The curved rim of the string-casing is in one continuous piece of plywood bent to shape and glued into position without steam. The back of the casing has spaced slats e. The Provisional Specification states also that a grand string-frame is used.
