520,197. Pianofortes. MONINGTON & WESTON, Ltd., and WATTS, W. S. Oct. 14, 1938, No. 29847. [Class 88 (ii)] An upright piano is provided with one or more auxiliary sound panels 1, 2, Fig. 1, attached to the main frame in front of the strip F, inclined from the bottom outwards and extruding the full width of the main sound bowl H. End panels 3, Fig. 2, and an upper panel 4 may also be provided, and the space between the auxiliary sound panels and the front board 9 of the casing may be closed by end pieces 5, 6. Figs. 3 and 4 show alternative arrangements of auxiliary panels 7, 8, 9, 10.
