Convention date, April 4, 1933. [Class 81 (ii).] In a foot-arch support having an arched spring 3 connected with a hee spring 4 and passing through a base plate 5 which supports it, the spring 3, which merges at one side into the hee spring by a transverse edge 7 bearing against the base plate, is widened towards its connection with the heel spring (at 6), so that the edge 7 is shortened The edge is bent away from the plate to reduce wear at the point of con. tact. The spring 3 is secured at its front end tc a plate 2 and passes through an aperture 31 in the base plate 5. The heel spring is riveted at 11 to the base plate the edge of which is turned at 5<1>. A turn. buckle 8 connects the plates 2 and 5, and an insole 1 is secured to plate 2. The edge 10 where the springs 3 and 4 merge on the inner side of the foot is located to the rear of edge 7 so that it does not normally contact with the base plate.
