Abstract
418,532. Vehicle lamps. GOOLD, A. G., (Representative of GOOLD, J. E.), 20, Chester Street, Newcastle-on-Tyne. Aug. 2, 1933, No. 21683. [Class 75 (iv).] An anti - dazzle and fog - piercing device adapted to be fitted inside a vehicle lamp comprises one or more diaphragms f, g arranged lengthwise of the reflector a, and a number of parallel tubes h arranged side by side with their axes perpendicular to the front glass d. The diaphragms may be at right-angles to each other and they may extend from the front ends of the tubes to the reflector, being cut away at j to clear the bulb c. Their surfaces may be dull black, but between the reflector and the rear ends of the tubes they may be silvered. The tubes may be supported from the diaphragms by annular plates k, m, they may be of circular, square, or other regular or irregular cross-section, and they may be made of glass, metal, or other material with dull black inner and outer surfaces. The plate k may carry a reflector n.
