Abstract
416,950. Furniture frames; feet. HEAL, A., and HEAL & SON, Ltd., 196, Tottenham Court Road, London. July 28, 1933, No. 21237. [Classes 52 (i) and 52 (ii).] Support means for articles of furniture comprise a pair of supports each composed of two D-shaped closed loop members rigidly connected. in parallel spaced relation by one or more cross pieces and adapted for attachment beneath an article of furniture. A bedstead, for example is supported by D-shaped loop members 2 having vertical extensions 3 which are connected by cross-pieces 4 or 4, 6. The loop members may be of metal, wood or other rod, tube, or strip of round, oval or other section. The upper member 5 of each loop is straight and forms a bracket for connection to the article, and may be formed with key-hole slots for screws or bolts. Similar supports comprising two loops with vertical extensions may be used on a dressing table or cabinet, the cross-pieces 4 being secured to the sides thereof. Pairs of loops 2, Fig: 4, connected but without vertical extensions may be used to support a wardrobe.
