Abstract

416,522. Grids for openers or cleaners. NEWELL, W., TOMLINSON, H., and TWEEDALES & SMALLEY (1920), Ltd., Globe Works, Castleton, near Manchester. May 30, 1933, No. 15551. [Class 120 (i).] In a vertical, cylindrical, or conical grid for openers and cleaners for textile fibres of the kind in which bars D, Figs. 1 and 2, of angular cross section are rotatably supported by pins d projecting into stationary rings A, B a ring C formed around its inner edge with notches c adapted to engage the outer angular portions of the bars D is provided for adjusting the angular setting of the bars D. The ring C is rotatably mounted immediately below the upper ring A and is displaced clockwise or anticlockwise to rotate the bars D by means of a screw G engaging a swivelling nut F secured to the underside of the ring C by a bracket E.
