Abstract
415,705. Conveyers. FISHER, G. L., 561, Old Kent Road, and BRIGHT & GALBRAITH, Ltd., 7, Martin's Lane, both in London. Feb. 20, 1933, No. 5198. [Classes 78 (i) and 78 (iv).] A conveyer is built up of a plurality of parallel slats a which are hinged together at their ends and, by separate hinges, intermediate their ends, the hinge rods b extending the full length of the slots. The rods b have their lengths between hinges surrounded by tubes e which serve to fill the gaps. The hinge eyes are staggered to bring the hinges into line, or, alternatively, the intermediate hinges may be bodily staggered. The hinges c are attached to the slats by rivets c<1> or by welding. Fig. 4 shows a lighter form of slat consisting of a wooden core f surrounded by a metal sheath g. The core has a channel f<1> into which the middle of a binding section h is pressed after it has been slipped into place. Specification 351,410 is referred to.
