Abstract

415,302. Heating by electricity. TRIERER WALZWERK AKT.-GES., Trieron-Moselle, Germany. Dec. 11, 1933, No. 34873. Convention date, Dec. 23, 1932. [Class 39 (iii).] Metal strip is supplied with an electric heating current to evaporate solvent after passage through a lacquering machine. Alternating current at 10-30 volts may be used. The strip 2 passes through a lacquering device 3, over contact rolls 4, 5 and 6 supplying the heating current, and to the wind-on roll 7. The various rolls and the lacquering machine may be insulated from each other and from earth. The current voltage, the distance between the rolls, and the velocity of the strip may be regulated as desired. The heating current may be automatically switched on and off with the drive of the strip.
