Abstract

415,160. Butter dishes &c. KEEN, D. S. J., Childswickham, Broadway, Worcestershire. March 8, 1933, No. 6971. [Class 66.] An earthenware, glass or china container 1 for butter is provided with a hollow lid member 2 containing hot or cold water, which rests upon the butter B within the container. The member 2 is provided with a handle 3, and a stopper 4, and the lower surface is formed into rib projections 5, which assist in bringing the butter to a suitable condition, for example by mashing the butter during cold weather. A disc of grease proof paper may be placed between the lid member 2 and the butter.
