Abstract
413,948. Aircraft. WOOD, W. H., 248, Winona Drive, Toronto, Canada. Dec. 6, 1933, No. 34266. [Class 4.] Slots 6 in the top wall of an aircraft fuselage are connected by a divided channel having suction outlets 11 leading into two longitudinal tubes 12 through which air is forced by forward travel of the machine and which are provided with nozzles 13 and suction fans 16 driven, e.g. from the aircraft engine. The front ends of the tubes may be closed by shutters operated by the pilot. Stabilizers comprising two discs with radial vanes are mounted one on each side of the fuselage, the upper half of the stabilizers being covered in so that they are revolved by air flow.
