[Class 45.] An elastic connexion for boards and similar structural elements 1, Fig. 3, placed edge to edge consists of wires, strips &c. 2 of high elasticity passed through holes in the boards &c. and secured at the ends. The wires &c. may be of rustless iron or steel and may be undulated or spirally wound. The ends of the wires &c. may be adapted to take tensioning nuts 13 by forcing the coned and threaded end 10, Fig. 6, of the wire into a conical recess 11 in a brass rod 9 threaded at 12. Additional resiliency may be furnished by plate springs 6 or spiral springs &c. housed in a guiding channel 5. Tensioning of the wire &c. may also be effected by a projection or hole engaging a wedge, eccentric &c.
