413,226. Holders for rolls of adhesive tape. KALLE & CO. AKT.-GES., 23, Rheinstrasse, Wiesbaden, Germany. Jan. 22, 1934, No. 2252. Convention date, Feb. 9, 1933. [Class 18.] A holder for a roll of adhesive tape comprises a container provided with an upstanding cylinder portion 1 or a roller to carry the roll of tape, a roller 5 which projects through a lateral opening in the container and serves to guide and press the tape on to the surface to which it is to be affixed, and a severing blade 8 situated behind the roller 5. The holder may be made of the material known under the Registered Trade Mark " Bakelite " and it comprises a body part and a cover, not shown. The blade 8 is toothed and slips into position or is riveted in the holder, and its edge is protected by projeotions 9. Inwardly projecting annular portions 4 whose outer diameters are less than that of the cardboard ring carrying the roll of tape are formed in the body part and cover to prevent the tape from adhering to the holder. After use, the projecting end of tape is stuck by its adhesive coating to the adjacent surface of the holder, this part being grooved or rendered uneven to facilitate detailing the tape. A spring ring on the pin carrying the roller 5 prevents the latter from falling out.
