Abstract

[Class 138 (ii).] In a mangle, particularly one having three rollers, endless rubber bands 8 or spiral springs are passed over the top and bottom rollers to apply the pressure between the rollers and transmit the drive from the bottom roller which is driven by a crank handle 10. The ends of the middle roller are reduced so as to be clear of the bands. The machine frame 5 is pivoted at 11 so as to be lowered within a table frame when not in use.
